We are making a difference!

June 10th, 2008

The GracefulYouth.org project has not only helped the victims of the earthquake, but have also brought out the best in so many people who chose to take a stand.

As of today, we have collected over $1500 in donations through the GracefulYouth.org project. More importantly, we have raised awareness in our global community about what really is going on.

Today, we are glad to be able to say that the youth has decided to make a difference.

Boston Pizza Sponsorship

Anyways, I just came back from a meeting with Boston Pizza manager, Kam, along with Tom, Kelvin, and Mr. Au. Next Wednesday, the 18th, we will be hosting a fund raising pizza party right here in our neibourhood! We have a limited supply of 300 tickets and 2 ’sessions’.

This is really going to work out great, I can feel it. We got a security guard, possibly a DJ (if allowed), and sponsored prizes. Heck, we even got a mascot. I’ll make sure lots of pictures are taken, to be posted here on the blog.

Special Thank You’s

I’d just like to thank Cirtex and Cirtexhosting. They not only made a large contribution to the donation fund, they have also helped us optimize the gracefulyouth.org website, as well as promote this cause to all their customers. Thanks!

I’d also like to thank my good friend (and mentor) Justin Brooke from SiteFlipAcademy.com for his donation, as well as his promotion to his motivated list of prospects. By the way, check out his new contest site at http://www.websiteflippingmasters.com - Check it out, I’ll be competing (and winning) there.

And of course, I’d like to thank everyone who has volunteered their time, donated money, or spread the word about this cause. Together, we have made a difference :).

GracefulYouth.org On the News

May 28th, 2008

Last Sunday, myself and over 100 high school students went out to two major malls in our city to promote the GracefulYouth.org website, in the form of ready-made flyers. It was very successful, and we created a lot of awareness for the Earthquake in China, as well as the GracefulYouth.org project.

We managed to get a bit of publicity as well. I was interviewed on News1130 radio about the project:
http://www.news1130.com/news/local/article.jsp?content=20080525_182710_4280

We were also able to make it onto a large Chinese newspaper:

We are currently working with Boston Pizza, trying to plan out a fund raiser event to further the cause.

Thank you,
Donny

Death toll to 60,000+!

May 24th, 2008

Just 5 days ago, we created a video to show to the high schools in Richmond. I remember the death toll clearly from then; 34,000+. Today, it is now up to 60,000 people dead from the China Sichuan Earthquake. It is now estimated to exceed 100,000.

What can we do but all we are able to?

Thank You,
Donny

Mother of Child Killed - One of Many Tragic Stories

May 19th, 2008

A Chinese news cast reported on the story of what happened to a small family of two, and how the Sichuan Earthquake ripped them apart. Translation was provided by our very own, Tom Wang.

This is just one of the millions of devastating life-altering changes that the SiChuan Earthquake has brought. Spread the word. Take action.

Thank You,
Donny
